COVID vaccination drive for precaution dose inaugurated in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: Vaccination drive of precaution dose for the 18 to 59 years age category was inaugurated at Arogya Uddyan, Marwari Arogya Bhavan Hospital, Jyoti Nagar, Dibrugarh on Sunday. The vaccination drive for the category was inaugurated in the centre by District Immunization Officer, Dr Biswajit Baruah. Being a charitable organization, Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital is providing the vaccine at Rs 250 per dose despite the fact that the government has fixed the maximum price for the vaccine at Rs 375 per dose.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Biswajit Baruah stated that this the first centre in the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar which has come forward for vaccination in this category. People from other districts as well as Arunachal Pradesh will also be benefitted with this centre, he further said. Free vaccines for the other categories will be continued to be available at the centre as earlier.
