CRPF jawan tests COVID-19 positive in Sivasagar district

GAURISAGAR: Birpal Sarmah (53), a CRPF jawan of Uttar Pradesh (UP) who is deployed at Haluwating CRPF camp under Haluwating PS in Sivasagar district, tested positive for COVID-19.

He joined duty on June 12 after the end of his monthly leave. Since then he was in institutional quarantine at Amguri AHDHS School. After the result of his swab sample came positive, he was immediately admitted to Sibsagar Civil Hospital.
