TEZPUR: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Sonitpur, Deba Kumar Mishra flagged off a cycle rally from Hazarapar Stadium to create mass awareness about the Special Summary Revision 2023, as per direction of the ECI at Hazarapar Stadium on Tuesday.

Around 500 students from altogether 19 schools and colleges from in and around Tezpur and Sonitpur Cycle Association took part in the cycle rally that was carried out to create awareness among young voters (17+ age) to include their names in the electoral rolls and also to link their Aadhaar cards with EPICs and about the claims and objections process for the recently published draft electoral rolls. ADC Raj Boruah, Election Officer Eva Das, DSO Khanindra Mudoi and other senior officials of the district administration were present in rally.
