SI Junmoni Rabha Death Case: Asomiya Yuva Mancha (AYM) Stages Protest

LAKHIMPUR: The central committee of the Asomiya Yuva Mancha (AYM), in association with Lakhimpur district unit of the organization, staged massive protest in North Lakhimpur town on Thursday to demand capital punishment for the ‘murderer’ of Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha.

In addition, the members of the organization, while demonstrating, demanded to bring the police officers, allegedly linked with the mysterious death of Junmoni Rabha, to the ambit of investigation, to crackdown on the fake gold, fake Indian currency notes (FICN) smugglers’ racket etc.

Leading the protest programme, AYM central committee general secretary Anupam Saikia expressed vehement resentment for not interrogating the Assam Police officers whose names have been allegedly linked with fake gold, FICN smugglers’ racket. Along with the AYM central committee dignitaries, the office bearers, members of the Lakhimpur district unit of the organization took part in the protest programme.
