Demow to Host All Assam One-Act Play Competition from August 23–25

DEMOW: An All Assam One-Act Play Competition will be organised at the Demow Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Building from August 23 to 25 under the patronage of the people of Demow.

As per the schedule, the three-day programme will begin on August 23 with the hoisting of the flag by Rupjyoti Handique, president of the reception committee. This will be followed by Nataraj Bandana and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Surajit Borgohain, president of Demow Kendriya Naam Ghar.

A tribute programme will also be organised, followed by Smriti Tarpan.

A solo acting competition in memory of Kshetradhar Konwar will subsequently be held. The competition will be inaugurated by Lukumoni Borah, Co-District Commissioner, Demow. In the evening, the One-Act Play Competition will be held, with Sushanta Borgohain, local MLA and Minister of Water Resources and Judicial Department, as the chief guest. The One-Act Play Competition will continue on August 24 and 25.
