Dibrugarh District Election Officer to Undertake Voter ID Verification

Dibrugarh: After extending the deadline for verification and correction of details in the Voter IDs to November 18, the office of the Dibrugarh District Election Officer has undertaken another initiative for assisting the public to verify their details, and apply for corrections, if need be, in the electoral rolls. Under the exercise, the said office would deploy teams of volunteers at the Sunday markets across the district to help people complete the verification process. However, for availing the assistance, the voters would have to carry their individual Voter IDs and any proof of identity like passport, driving license, Aadhar Card, Ration Card, I cards issued by the government and semi-government organization, bank passbook or any document approved by the Election Commission of India.
