
ITANAGAR: In a significant achievement, Hardik Paul, a Class 12 student of Shiksha Valley School, secured the 3rd Prize in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) at the prestigious NERIST Model United Nations (MUN) held in Itanagar, while bringing pride to the city.
The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) hosted the event, bringing together bright young minds from across the region to engage in high-level debate and diplomacy. Hardik, representing Shiksha Valley School, impressed the judges and fellow delegates with his confident public speaking, strong research, and deep understanding of global human rights issues.
His performance highlighted the growing presence of Dibrugarh’s youth in national-level platforms while showcasing his academic excellence. Calling it an inspiration for other students to explore platforms like MUN that develop leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills, the school authorities and the local community have applauded his achievement.
Meanwhile, Parinita Bora, a student of Swarna Hazarika Memorial Florence Academy, has won the first prize in the Sattriya dance competition held at the national-level drama and dance competition organized by Theatre Movement of India at Kala Vikash Kendra in Cuttack, Odisha.
Parinita, daughter of Mithu Pratim Bora and Basanti Devnath, a resident of Teliagaon in Puranigudam, also won the second prize in the modern dance competition and the second best child actress award in the drama competition.
