DIBRUGARH: The most confusing traffic junction in Dibrugarh is the Phoolbagan intersection, where Mancotta Road and AT Road meet. Motorists often struggle to interpret the traffic signals, leading to frequent confusion. Additionally, the dilapidated condition of the traffic post creates an unsightly impression for visitors to the city.
Dibrugarh has been upgraded as the second capital of Assam but it seems that the traffic signals in some important areas of the city are in bad conditions.
"The Phoolbagan traffic signal is very confusing. I always face problems in the particular traffic point. The district administration should look after the traffic signal and repair it as soon as possible to avoid any untoward incident," alleged Somit Roy, a local resident.
Similarly, the Amolapatty traffic signal is also very confusing and as a result the motorists have to face problems.
"Dibrugarh is one of the oldest towns of Assam and now it has been upgraded as the second capital but still the beautification has not been done. The district administration should take some urgent steps to at least upgrade the old traffic points with a newer look," said a resident of Dibrugarh.
