Diet scheme Samahar inaugurated in Tinsukia
Samahar, a diet scheme under the Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, was inaugurated on Thursday at the MCH building of the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Civil Hospital, Tinsukia.

TINSUKIA: Samahar, a diet scheme under the Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, was inaugurated on Thursday at the MCH building of the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Civil Hospital, Tinsukia.
Under this scheme, the mother is entitled to a free nutritious diet. While for normal delivery the beneficiary will be entitled for one package for three days, in case of caesarean delivery, the mother will receive two packages for seven days. The Samahar will be available in all Government Hospitals (delivery points). ADC (Health) Dipu Kr Deka, Joint Director Health Services, I/c Civil Hospital Dr Mridul Gogoi and officials of NHM and Health Department were present in the inaugural function.
