Digboi will be one of most developed constituencies in Assam: Suren Phukan

DIGBOI: “Digboi constituency in Assam’s Tinsukia district would be one of the most developed ones in the state,” said Digboi BJP MLA Suren Phukan here on Friday afternoon. The incumbent legislator was addressing the media at the premises of Digboi Development Block Office following the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected 13 councillors under the constituency. The elected councillors who belonged to Bharatiya Janata Party were administered the oath to the office by Kaveri Buragohain, the BDO of Digboi co-district.

While facilitating Trishna Phukan Bairagi and Priyanka Baruah, the newly-elected Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson respectively, Phukan threw a vivid light on tangible developments across the constituency during his period. According to him, with the ongoing pace of development secured with the blessings of the Chief Minister of the state, Digboi was sure to be one of the most developed constituencies in the state.

The legislator was accompanied by Sriti Das, President of Tingrai Mandal, Dimpi Sonwal, President of Digboi Mandal, and Binanda Sonwal Budhi, President of Dihing Mandal, along with other party workers and leaders.
