Dima Hasao district administration issued strict prohibition on spitting, sale of liquor and tobacco

Haflong: The Dima Hasao district administration has issued few guidelines for people of Dima Hasao to strictly adhere as the whole nation entered the second phase of coronavirus lockdown which will continue till May 3. The order stated that wearing of face mask was compulsory for all in public and work places. There is also strict ban on selling of liquor, gutka and tobacco and strict prohibition on spiting in public places.

The district administration has communicated that anyone found guilty of not following these orders will invite action under section 51 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action u/s 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions.
