KOKRAJHAR: In a clear message to party leaders and workers of the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), president Pramod Boro, who is also the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC, on Thursday said that no anti-party campaigner would be spared for the greater interest of the party and strong actions would be initiated.

One of the senior leaders and Member of Council Legislative Assembly (MCLA) of BTC, Sanjay Swargiary from Harisingha was served explanation notice by the vice-president of the UPPL, Rwngwra Narzary for his anti-party remarks. Swargiary was asked to give his reply within three days about his comment against party president Pramod Boro, failing which action would be initiated as per the party constitution. Swargiary recently aired comments against the party president and the BTC chief, allegedly saying that the assembly constituency of 69 no. He was also charged for being engaged by the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) against the procedure of formation of BTC government, which has been challenged by the BPF in the High Court.

Replying the queries of reporters, party president Pramod Boro said that the party had its own ideology and constitution and no one could go beyond party discipline. He said that UPPL MCLA of Harisingha, Sanjay Swargiary had already been served notice for explanation. He said that action would be taken against those party leaders and workers who were working against the interest of the party. He also said that not only Swargiary but similar action would be initiated against anti-party campaigners.
