District Mineral Foundation Trust meet held in Darrang

MANGALDAI: A meeting of the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT), Darrang was held on Monday at the Deputy Commissioner's conference hall regarding undertaking of welfare schemes in the mining-affected areas under the Prime Minister Khanij Khsetra Kalyan Yojana ( PMKKKY). The meeting presided over by Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kumar Sarmah was attended by District Development Commissioner Subhalaxmi Deka, Divisional Forest Officer of North Kamrup Division, Rangia Sunny Deo Choudhary, Chandra Dhar Nath of Geology and Mining Department, social activist Mayukh Goswami and other line departments besides trust members from different non government bodies including Crystal Vision and others. The meeting discussed on plugging in the loopholes in revenue collection and raising of the fund, identifying the mining affected areas, selection of welfare schemes on priority basis, regular holding of its meeting and others.

Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kumar Sarmah, District Development Commissioner Subhalaxmi Deka and DFO of NK Division Sunny Deo Choudhary took part in the meeting of DMFT at Mangaldai on Monday.
