JAGIROAD: Erratic power supply since the last couple of days at Jagiroad has caused immense inconveniences to the public here. It was alleged that when the consumers contacted the grievance cell of the APDCL office at Jagiroad, the staff concerned were casual and unable to fix the issues.
It was further alleged that the consumer grievance cell of the Jagiroad APDCL office, set up in a damaged Assam-type house and surrounded by bushes and water, was very unhygienic. The back side of the cell was full of stagnant water and a potential hub of mosquitoes. The nearby people have been suffering due to the unhygienic condition of the cell. Most of the grievance cell staff members allegedly passed urine in the open and used an abandoned toilet in the area causing health hazards to the neighbours. The locals requested the concerned authority to look into the matter.
