Felicitation book of noted educationist Tuwaram Khanikar unveiled

As a welfare institution, xatra has moral responsibility to adopt principles in course of time," said Dr.Pitambor Deva Goswami, Xatradhikar of Sri Sri Auniati Xatra while unveiling Porobyapti, a felicitation book of noted educationist and orator Tuwaram Khanikar, edited by Pranjal Kumar Nath and Milon Khanikar, at his Charing Agnibor Khanikar village residence on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Goswami said that man could not be rich by possessing money and wealth but by possessing real knowledge from life. The meeting was organized by Charing Sakha Xahitya Xabha in active cooperation with Jestha Nagarik Mancha, Charing. The other dignitaries who attended the meeting included Manjil Kalita, Principal(i/c) SMD College, Charing, Dibya Rajkhowa, former Principal of the college, and Associate Professor Dr.Mamoni Borah Khargharia.

The programme started with a borgeet performed by Priyadarshini Devi while Tuwaram Khanikar expressed his sincere gratitude to all for attending the function. Earlier in the function, Tuwaram Khanikor was felicitated with a seleng chador, gamusa and a citation. On the other hand, the Xatradhikar and Tuwaram Khanikor were also felicitated by various organizations and well wishers with seleng chador, gamusa and books.
