Food items distributed among needy people in view of lockdown across Assam

LAKHIMPUR: Poor people, not only of Lakhimpur district but also across the State, are facing a lot of problems due to the ongoing lockdown. To help such families as far as possible, a youth of Lakhimpur district living at Naharani village under Bihpuriya revenue circle distributed some food items on Monday. Abinash Saikia provided a packet of rice and dal along with vegetables to a total of 20 poor families under the local area. Notably, the youth works as laboratory technician in Gogamukh Hospital in an unpaid post.

RANGIA: In an effort to help the needy and poor who are facing tremendous difficulties during the lockdown, the members of Rangia Press Club, headed by president Anjanjyoti Patowary and secretary Iftahul Islam, handed over food items and sanitizers to nearly 25 families of village Udiana, Tarani, Murara and ward no. 4 and Shantipur of Rangia town. During the visit, the members of the club warned the families about the pandemic and advised them to maintain hygiene and social distancing and urged them not to go out during the lockdown period. On the other hand, SERS Public School donated Rs 1 lakh to CM Arogya Nidhi Fund through minister Bhabesh Kalita.
