Food Items Distributed under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Nikshay Mitra

DIBRUGARH: Under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Nikshay Mitra initiative was implemented by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Tuberculosis patients across the country have been adopted under Nikshay Mitra. It is a digital platform that has revolutionized the way tuberculosis (TB) patients receive care and support in India. Launched by the Indian government, Nikshay Mitra is a one-stop solution for all TB-related information and services, which aims at improving the detection and treatment of TB in India.

Under its CSR initiative, BCPL too has contributed towards this noble cause by adopting the scheme and a total of 600 beneficiaries, out of which 300 in Dibrugarh district , 150 in Chairaideo district and 150 in Sivasagar district will be benefitted from the same. As per the initiative, nutritious food items will be distributed to the TB patients with the support of District Health Department for a period of 6 months. In an event held on Tuesday in Barbaruah Primary Health Centre, beneficiaries of Dibrugarh received a composite food packet of nutritious food supplement from the dignitaries.

During the event Reep Hazarika, Managing Director BCPL, Trishna Baruah, Joint Director of Health, Dibrugarh, Dr.Indira Neog ,SDM and HO of Barbaruah PHC , Alak Baruah , CSR Nodal Officer & General Manager BCPL , BCPL CSR execution team and other officials of BCPL & Barbaruah PHC were present.
