Lirdang Boro with the humble intention to create awareness among rural people on conservation of nature, started his solo bicycle expedition on August 15 from Sonitpur district. During this mission, he covered areas of the districts of Sonitpur, Udalguri, Baska, Barpeta, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Goalpara, Kamrup (rural), Kamrup (metro) and Morigaon, taking mostly the rural roads to closely interact with the villagers. He also arranged plantation drives in the different locations with the cooperation and involvement of the people of the locality.

Lirdang Boro as the general secretary of Bhakatpara Anchalik Committee of All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) from 2011 to 2013, had shown a rare and glorious example of communal harmony while the ethnic group clash had gripped both the districts of Darrang and Udalguri. Senior journalists Hitesh Hazarika and Dharmendra Narayan Dev of Mangaldai on Wednesday evening accorded a warm welcome on his return to his home at Bhakatpara village.
