Former BSS President Brajendra Kr Brahma Admitted to MRM Memorial Hospital, Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Former president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), Brajendra Kr. Brahma on Tuesday morning was admitted at MRM Memorial Hospital in Kokrajhar after he fell in the bathroom.

Sources said Brahma, aged about 78, fell in the bathroom at his Baganshali residence in Kokrajhar on September 7 and suffered injuries in the leg. He was in severe pain since then and on Tuesday he was admitted in the hospital by the family members.

Meanwhile, the vice-president of the BSS, Kamala Kanta Mashahary along with leaders of the West Bengal state Bodo Sahitya Sabha visited the hospital soon after getting the news. Mashahary talked to Brahma in the hospital and wished him early recovery.

The president of the United Bodo People’s Organization (UBPO), Mihiniswar Basumatary and general secretary Anil Basumatary also visited the hospital and met the former BSS president.
