Four band illegal saw mills closed after raid conducted by Kamrup West Forest Division

GUWAHATI: Three illegal band saw mills at Champupara under Kamrup West Forest Division have been shut down and their machines seized after forest officials conducted a raid on Wednesday. The operation was led by Divisional Forest Officer, Kamrup West and his personnel. In another raid carried out by the Forest Range Officer, Hajo and protection squad personnel, one illegal band saw mill at Kalitakuchi Chowk under Hajo Police station was detected and machine seized on Wednesday.
