Four petrol depots sealed in Darrang for license violations

MANGALDAI: Darrang district administration sealed four petrol depots of Mangaldai. Few days back, District Commissioner Parag Kumar Kakaty, on the basis of complaints from different circles, entrusted the then Additional District Commissioner Gauri Priya Deuri to conduct an inquiry into the matter. Accordingly, the Additional District Commissioner accompanied by the officials of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs conducted an inquiry and detected gross violations and anomalies of the provisions of the license. On the basis of the inquiry report, District Commissioner Kakaty vide an order sealed the petrol depots.

The sealed petrol depots are Bajrang Filling Station at Ward No. 7 of Mangaldai town, MD Filling Station at Jaberikuchi, Barua Filling Station at Saloipara near Chapai, and Lohit Dev Filling Station at Gakhirkhowa Para village.
