Free health check-up and anti-rabies drive for pets held at Rupaisiding

DOOMDOOMA: A free health check-up and treatment camp for pet dogs and cats was organized at Sangeeta’s Pet Care Home, Rupai Siding, on Sunday along with a free anti-rabies vaccination drive. The programme was inaugurated by former President, Tinsukia Zilla Xahitya Xabha (TZXX), Arjun Baruah along with former Associate Professor, Doomdooma College, Chandra Handique.

The programme was coordinated by Sangeeta Baruah Deka, owner of Sangeeta’s Pet Care Home.

The functioning of the health camp was facilitated by senior veterinarians Dr Mridul Kumar Phukan, Dr Anup Kumar Deka, Dr Neelakshi Deka, and Dr Manas Jyoti Thakuria, along with Manas Sonowal and Shyam Upadhyay.

he programme was backed by Drools, Indian Immunological Limited, Himalaya Pet Division, Mankind Pet Division, and Virbac Pet Division.      

More than 200 dogs and 20 cats were provided with free health check-ups and treatments along with free anti-rabies vaccines.
