Gandhi Sankalp Yatra launched in Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA: Like the rest of Assam, in Doomdooma also a ‘Gandhi Sankalp Yatra’ was launched from Doomdooma town field by MP of Lakhimpur Parliamentary Constituency, Pradan Baruah on Wednesday.

Exhorting people by chanting ‘Let us build a new India by advancing in the path shown by Bapu (Mahatma Gandhi)’, he then marched towards the Gandhi statue in the heart of the town and lit an earthen lamp before the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. He then proceeded towards Santipur, Rupaisiding along with party workers, Zila Parishad and Gaon Panchayat members, including BJP chairman Lakheswar Moran and chairman of Doomdooma Town Committee, Dulu Arandhara.
