Gaon Sabhas to be held to provide Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs) in Chirang

Bongaigaon: A press conference was held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Chirang district on the implementation of Kisan Bhagidari Priority Hamari (KBPH) programme of the Government of India, on Friday.

Addressing the press conference, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chirang, Nirmali Barua told the media that Gaon Sabhas would be conducted by the district administration on April 24, 2022 at 62 VCDCs (Village Council Development Committee) of the district to provide Kisan Credit Cards along with creating awareness among farmers in Chirang district under the 'Kisan Bhagidari Priority Hamari' programme.

The district administration has decided to provide awareness among farmers about how farmers can avoid damage to crops due to various calamities under the programme. She also informed that Gaon Sabhas called Fasal Bima Pathshala under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana would be held on various issues related to farmers insurance in seven Agricultural Development Circles of the district from April 25, 2022 to May 1, 2022 involving the officials of District Agriculture Office and officials of insurance companies various other issues. These Gaon Sabhas will be held at Kashikotra VCDC, STC Kajalgaon, Bijni Subdivisional Agriculture Officer's office, Subhaijhar VCDC, Thuribari VCDC, Amguri VCDC and Borabazar VCDC of the district.
