Girl from Borgang Tea Estate Asmita Kakati shines in ISC exam

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Asmita Kakati of Bargang Tea Estate in Biswanath district has shined in the recently announced results of the ISC Examination, 2021 with 99.75 per cent marks in Humanities from the Assam Valley School, Balipara, Sonitpur. She scored 99 marks in English, 100 marks in history, 98 marks in political science, 100 marks in sociology and 100 marks in psychology (Best of Four is selected). Asmita, in reply to this correspondent's queries, said that she had prepared for the examination with great care and hoped to get good results, though she did not expect to get such a top position in the national level. She believes in perseverance and originality of work.

Besides studies, the girl has a passion for singing, writing poetry and playing her piano. She was highly acclaimed for singing Dr Bhupen Hazarika's "Dola he Dola" in Australia earlier. Asmita has announced that she will be studying at Delhi University and also she wants to be involved in Archaeological works in the future.
