GOALPARA\: With a view to promote transparency, accountability and efficiency in administration, the Goalpara district, along with the rest of the nation, is scheduled to observe the 4th ‘Good Governance Week’ from December 19 to 24.
Subtitled ‘Sushasan Saptah: Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’, the week-long programme will focus on disposing the pending cases related to public grievances and better-assured service delivery. As part of the specialized week, the concerned officers will visit the places of occurrence of the grievances and with the help of local people endeavor to dispose of the cases.
A meeting was also arranged in this regard by Khanindra Choudhury, DC in his conference hall on Friday where the DC instructed the circle officers and panchayat secretaries to visit at the grassroot level for the finest service delivery. The district administration will mainly target total clearance of the grievances lodged through the two portals, CPGRAM and Seva Setu.
Post disposal of the cases, officers are instructed to upload the data of the same in ‘Good Governance Portal’ with photos. Khanindra Choudhury has sought cooperation from a cross-section of people and civil societies to make the mission a grand success.
