Golaghat Deputy Commissioner visits Swahid Kamala Miri Civil Hospital

GOLAGHAT: Dr P Uday Praveen, Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, on Wednesday visited Swahid Kamala Miri Civil Hospital, Bokakhat and took stock of the functioning of the hospital.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre of the health facility and held a discussion with the MO, dietician and health workers regarding health and medical services and facilities being provided to the children, lactating mothers and pregnant women in the hospital.
He directed the dieticians of the hospital to make a diet chart for baby and mother so that it can be displayed in schools and Anganwadi Centres for the help of children and mothers. He also took stock of the Wage Compensation Scheme for Pregnant Women of the tea garden areas and instructed to disburse the amount in two instalments within stipulated time.
The Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres were established in hospitals to provide appropriate and facility-based case management to children with Severely Acute Malnourished for all children under 5 years of age.
