Golaghat DTO launches drive against vehicles charging excess fare

GOLAGHAT: After receiving complaints from the public, the officials of District Transport Office (DTO) launched drive against those vehicles which allegedly charge excess fare from passengers.
DTO Manoj Kr. Choudhary has instructed his team to be alert. As such, continuous drive is going on randomly in various places of Golaghat district. Choudhury was seen inspecting various places and the DTO asked owners of passenger vehicles, bus drivers and the associations related to vehicles not to charge excess fare from passengers.
On the other hand, checking of passengers vehicles against violation of COVID norms and MV Act is on. Enforcement Inspector Mujibuddin Ahmed and Assistant Enforcement Inspector Chandan Borgohai of Golaghat are continuously carrying out the drive.
