Golaghat Zila Sangbadik Suraksha Mancha submits Memo to appoint doctor in PHC

MERAPANI: Lakhibari Primary Health Centre in Golaghat district has been facing a shortage of doctors since more than a month. According to sources, the doctor of Lakhibari Primary Health Centre was transferred to Baruagaon Primary Health Centre in the same district. Although another doctor was posted in Lakhibari Primary Health Centre, but he had to leave for some training. As yet, no other doctor has joined the PHC due to which patients are suffering. Patients have to go to Golaghat Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital or some private hospitals for treatment.

Submitting a memorandum to the Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat, Probin Kr Das, Jayanta Hazarika and Bichitraa Goswami - the president, executive secretary and charge secretary of Golaghat Zila Sangbadik Suraksha Mancha respectively- demanded appointment of a permanent doctor in Lakhibari Primary Health Centre.
