GP secretary caught for anomalies in distribution of money in Barpeta district

Barpeta: Secretary of Bagodigaon panchayat in Barpeta district, Abdur Rahman Siddiquee was caught for irregularities in distributing money to poor people during the lockdown.

Abdur Rahman Siddiquee enlisted the names of the beneficiaries who had BPL cards. Complaints were filed against him. Barpeta Police led by Multajur Rahman, SI, Barpeta then caught Siddiquee. He is from Bahari village under Tarabari police station in Barpeta district. A case was also registered against him no 1168/20.
