DEMOW: The Sivasagar Agriculture Department had organized a Sali Padi ICMD grand harvest programme under APART Sivasagar in Dehengporia Mustard Fed Producer company limited at Nitaipukhuri on Tuesday. In the programme one combined harvester under Chief Minister Samagra Grammya Unnayan Yojana (MMSGUY) was inaugurated by Aditya Bickram Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar District on Tuesday. Aditya Bickram Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar District said that it will help the farmers. Aditya Bickram Yadav said that the Agricultural Officers of the Agriulture Department used to do field visits and they talked with the farmers. Aditya Bickram Yadav stated that they were moving forward with millet missions, mustard missions, paddy procurement, and fodder missions, and that they hope to begin mustard oil cultivation in ten thousand bighas throughout the Sivasagar district this year. In the programme, Bolindra Nath Chetia, District Agriculture Officer, Amrit Saikia, Sivasagar Sub-division Agriculture Officer along with other agriculture officers and dignitaries were present.
