Gulak Borah honoured on the occasion of Teachers' Day in Dhekiajuli

DHEKIAJULI: Along with the rest of the country, the 60th Teachers' Day was observed in Dhekiajuli and its adjoining areas on Sunday. The function was held by maintaining the COVID-19 SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

This year, the entire community of Dhekiajuli Sub Division was in high spirits as Gulak Borah — Head Master of the 'Swahid Dwijen Bhuyan High School' was awarded the district-level 'Teachers Excellence Award 2021' at a function held in Tezpur District Library Auditorium during the day.

Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner Bhupesh Chandra Das handed over the award to Gulak Borah. He was also awarded a citation and a Phulam Gamosa.

Altogether 38 teachers from the Primary School level to the Higher Secondary School level in Sonitpur district were selected for the award.

Gulak Borah is working as the Head Master of the High School for the last two decades. Borah was also involved with the Dhekiajuli Press Club for a few years.

Various organizations, individuals and social workers have congratulated Borah. The teaching and non-teaching staffs and students of the High School were also elated for his achievement.
