GUWAHATI: A horrific incident took place in the capital city on Thursday night. A coffee shop named 'Chai Sutta', located in Guwahati's Rajgarh area was vandalised by a group of unidentified miscreants on 26th of January. 

Eyewitnesses confirms that, a man wearing a red kurta came out of his vehicle along with his partners and initiated abuse to the staffs of the coffee shop. 

The group vandalised the shop and attacked staff member, as stated by the eyewitnesses. As per a source, one passerby was also attacked by the violent gang. Personnels from Chandmari police station rushed to the spot and extracted the CCTV footage of the episode.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered in connection with the matter and police has initiated investigations regarding the same.

Last month, nine students along with a teacher of a senior secondary school got arrested for vandalising a fellow student's property and assaulting his family in Assam's Karimganj district. The episode took place on December 2022, in Patharkandi region.

Two minor were also nabbed in connection with the case. The prime victim Nihar Debnath, in his complaint stated that, his 12 year old son was slapped for 30 times after he refrained to a decision that students are allowed to use the toilet just twice during school hours.

Furthermore, Debnath launched a complaint against the incident. Debnath mentioned that few teacher after the case was registered, threatened him. Later, a group of students attacked the victim's shop and vandalised it.

Debnath in his complaint informed that, his wife along with two daughters were also assaulted by the group. His son was hospitalised after the brutality of the accused. Talking about vandalism, the entire region was under the affect of vandalism lately against the movie Pathaan.

However, as the movie has been released across the country, the situation has tranquillised.
