GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Refinery observed its
59th Foundation Day
on Friday. The Foundation Day celebration began with a floral tribute at the
statue of late Hem Baruah, eminent litterateur, parliamentarian and the pioneer
whose efforts led to the birth of the Refinery. As part of the celebration, a
meeting was organized at Admin building lawn which was attended by senior
officials and employees both physically as well as through web, stated a
release.
The programme began with the hoisting of Guwahati Refinery flag by Executive Director and Refinery Head S Manchanda followed by a beautiful rendition of Guwahati Refinery song by a team of employees. On the occasion, foundation day pledge was also administered to all by the Executive Director & Refinery Head.
On the occasion, the Pratibha Samman award 2019-20 was conferred to Finance Manager Nipin Dhandaria for his significant contribution in his respective field. The occasion also witnessed the formal handing over of Sharva- Shreshtha Suraksha Puraskar with golden trophy of NSCI Safety Award 2019 to the F&S team and handing over of the Director's trophy for excellence in operations and maintenance (Runner-up) for the financial year 2019-20 to the production team. Besides this, in the program, around 75 employees from various departments were acknowledged for their significant achievements and contributions in their respective fields during the year 2019-20.
