Gyanoday Samuhik Proshikshan Kendra launched to empower SHG women in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: In a significant step towards promoting women empowerment and livelihood development, the Gyanoday Samuhik Proshikshan Kendra, a community training center under the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM), Sivasagar, was inaugurated at Dichangpar Gaon Panchayat on Monday. The center, managed by women members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the Adarsha Mandal Sangathan, was officially opened by Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain.

The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Jivanshu Paul, Lead District Bank Manager of Sivasagar, young entrepreneur Rabindra Bora, officials from various government departments, panchayat representatives, bank officials, and stakeholders from the social sector.

Welcoming the guests, Dr Suraj Jyoti Gogoi, District Project Manager of ASRLM, highlighted the significance of the center. “This facility will serve as a vital platform for skill development and sustainable livelihood training for SHG women,” he stated.
