Hachetan Nagarik Mancha organized 'Gana Hungkar' Against Citizenship Amendment Act

GAURISAGAR: Hachetan Nagarik Mancha, Bhatiapar in Sivasagar district organized a mass rally called 'Gana Hungkar' at the historic Jerenga Pather in Sivasagar.

Addressing the gathering, AASU education secretary Sarat Hazarika said that time would not forgive the Sarbananda Sonowal government which betrayed the sacrifice of the 855 martyrs of the Assam Agitation. The other dignitaries who attended the meeting included Basanta Gogoi, vice-president of AATASU, and Bhaskar Biswa Nath, secretary of SAKP, Sivasagar district committee.

In the rally, young artiste Kusum Koilash urged people to continue the agitation. Artistes Monuj Borah and Brishti Rani Borah sang revolutionary songs.
