Hailstorm causes extensive damage in Karbi Anglong

DIPHU: Heavy rain accompanied by hailstorm caused extensive damage in villages like Rongpangbong, Tapat and Nongjirong under Amreng constituency recently. Around 228 houses were destroyed. KAAC EM Rupsing Teon and MAC Rina Terangpi visited the affected areas on Thursday. MAC Rina Terangpi informed the Disaster Management by filling up names of the affected people. She also promised the people that she would inform CEM Tuliram Ronghang and seek help for the affected people. KAAC EM Rupsing Teron also said that he would inform the KAAC about the damage and seek help.
