Health Department distributed masks among tea labourers in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: As a preventive measure to protect tea labourers from COVID-19, the Health Department has started distribution of masks among them in Dibrugarh district through National Health Mission from April 20.
Rituparna Baruah, Bimal Bora and Chakradhar Gogoi, MLA of Lahowal, Tingkhong and Moran LAC respectively, inaugurated the programme by distributing masks among the labourers of Ganeshbari, Bokel, Monohari, Rajgarh, Khowang, Lepetkata and other tea estates of their respective constituencies. The State Government had distributed a total of 3.40 lakh masks among 1,13,285 tea labourers, three pieces each, of 177 tea estates in Dibrugarh district. The mask distribution programme was also attended by respective Circle Officers and tea estate management.
