IAF Chetak Helicopter landed Due to Technical Snag in Sorabari, Hajo

Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter made an emergency landing at an open ground in Sorabari locality of Hajo in Kamrup district due to a technical snag on Tuesday morning.

As per reports, the IAF chopper that was carrying two pilots onboard flying with another IAF helicopter in Alipurduar district of West Bengal. They were flying to the Air Force Station in Borjhar near Guwahati.

Meanwhile, villagers in large numbers gathered at the spot to have a glimpse of the emergency landing of aircraft.

So far, there is no official statement provided by the defense. A local villager informed that they sighted the chopper coming to a lower height around 9.45 in the morning and landed in an open ground.

For nearly three hours an undergoing repairing works by an expert team from Borjhar Air Base.

As per reports, all crew members including pilot are safe. The helicopter took off and later landed at Guwahati.
