Illegal medicines recovered in Runikhata market area of Chirang district

BONGAIGAON: An operation against organized drug trafficking was conducted by Chirang Police on Tuesday in Runikhata market area of Chirang district. During the operation, one chemist named Nilikhang Wary (45), son of Upen Wary, a resident of Madhaym Runikhata village under Runikhata PS of Chirang district, was apprehended. From his medical shop, 99 strips of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus capsules (each strip containing 24 capsules), 8 strips of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus capsules (each strip containing 8 capsules), one blue colour small airbag, one mobile handset and cash Rs 4,310 were recovered. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
