Illegal Sal logs and sawn timber seized at Haltugaon forest division

Gossaigaon: Based on sources, a joint team of the forest department, the 31st SSB and Anti-Corruption and Crime Investigation Front, on Monday launched an operation in various villages of Haltugaon forest division and seized a large number of illegal Sal logs and sawn wood. The seized items were handed over to the Jharbari range office under the Haltugaon Forest Division and the expected price of the recovered wood has been estimated to be more than Rs 3 lakh.
