Indian Army Organizes Medical Camp At East Karbi Anglong

GUWAHATI: Units of Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana project conducted a medical camp for the residents of remote villages of East Karbi Anglong district on Saturday. The event was conducted by Baguri Army Camp as a part of its Sadbhavana initiative at Anjukpani village in East Karbi Anglong.

This camp benefitted the residents of Anjukpani, Kalibhiti, Hanspani, Sonajuri, Balijuri Khaspunji, Langkhang, Hathimuri, and villages in remote hills. The camp was a resounding success as it provided medical aid to 348 villagers. The beneficiaries included people from the weaker sections of the society consisting of senior citizens, women and children. A medical team of qualified specialists from Indian Army were present and provided the best medical assistance and medicines to the patients attending the medical camp. The noble endeavour of providing health care was very well appreciated by the local community who expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Indian Army, stated a press release.
