International Human Rights Day observed in Jamugurihat
Every year December 10 has been celebrated as International Human Rights Day around the globe.

JAMUGURIHAT: Every year December 10 has been celebrated as International Human Rights Day around the globe. Jamugurihat is no exception to this. The special day was observed in Jamugurihat with a day-long programme. THB College, one of the pioneer educational institutions of higher education of the greater Jamugurihat area convened the day in association with the Sonitpur district committee of the National Human Rights & Crime Control Bureau (NHRCCB) at Panpur HSS on Saturday. Biswajit Hazarika, principal of the school forwarded a welcome address. The event was addressed by Sumanta Rajbanshi, coordinator of IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) of THB College as an appointed speaker. During his address, Rajbanshi traced the history of the international organization and its role in maintaining world peace and harmony. Dr. Dipjyoti Bhuyan, assistant professor of the department of Political Science also addressed the gathering. The event was attended by Mrinmoy Kumar Nath, media officer of Sonitpur district committee of NHRCCB along with the teachers and guardians.
