Jagiroad police seize illegal phlegm syrup worth Rs 30 lakh, arrest two smugglers

JAGIROAD: Jagiroad police in a special operation on Tuesday night seized 2,747 bottles of illegal phlegm syrup. The market value of the seized syrup was estimated at Rs 30 lakh.

Police in this connection also arrested two smugglers, Deepak Rajbanshi of Baihata Chariali in Kamrup district and Satyajit Das of Nagaon. An Innova car (AS01BT3399),  with a ‘Government of Assam’ plate, was also seized in the operation.
