BOKAKHAT: A massive plantation project of Jamuk trees was inaugurated on Tuesday near the Dhansiri river in Rowduar village of Numaligarh, under the initiative of the NCC Cadet Group of Numaligarh Higher Secondary School. The project was formally launched by planting two saplings by Sushil Mesh, Advisor of the Numaligarh Mising Kachari Organization, and social worker Deepak Kachari.

The event was attended by Sangeeta Saikia Rabha, President of the Managing Committee of Numaligarh Higher Secondary School, and Teacher Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.

NCC instructor Mausumi Gogoi informed that through this Jamuk tree project, more than 200 Jamuk saplings are planned to be planted, along with the establishment of a large Jamuk seed market in Numaligarh.
