Jewellery stolen near Inspection Bungalow of Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: A case of theft was registered in Jamuguri police station on Wednesday. Miscreants allegedly entered a house by breaking the lock of the front door and stole jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh, besides destroying furniture and taking some important documents. The theft took place in the house of Ranjit Saikia, an employee of PWD, near the Inspection Bungalow of Jamugurihat on the night of December 8. There was no one in the house that night.
