KAC submitted fake martyrs list to Assam government: Biswajit Ray

BONGAIGAON: "The leaders of Kamatapur Autonomous Council (KAC) have submitted a fake Koch-Rajbongshi martyrs' list to the Assam Government. The people who have no contribution in the Koch-Rajbongshi agitation, have also been included in this list and they received remuneration of Rs 5 lakh each from the Government of Assam. The KAC leaders may have done this for personal interest," said Biswajit Ray, secretary of Koch-Rajbanshi National Forum on Sunday at Bongaigaon. He said that government should take back this money from the fake martyr beneficiaries.
Biswajit Ray also alleged that KAC leaders Gokul Barman and Hiteswar Barman were taking commission from every sector of KAC. An inquiry should be conducted against them, he said.
