Kakojan College donates books in Jorhat

JORHAT: The Department of Sociology of Kakojan College and NSS jointly organized a special meeting at the Namghar of Da-Gwal Gaon, Teok in the district on Wednesday in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell.

The meeting was chaired by retired teacher Kanak Chandra Neog and moderated by Ankur Library secretary, Rantu Bhuyan. The event was attended by the Principal of Kakojan College, Dr. Ruprekha Bordoloi, Professor Dipti Tamuli, Head of Sociology Department, and other dignitaries. A book shelf and books were donated to Ankur Library in Da-Guwal Gaon by the Sociology Department of the college. Addressing the gathering, the Principal of Kakojan College, Dr Ruparekha Bordoloi spoke about the need for the younger generation to read books. The college fraternity sought the full cooperation of the villagers in making Da-Katikuchia gaon an ideal village. The students of the Sociology Department also conducted a field study in the entire village.
