DONGKAMUKAM: Once a dreaded armed outfit — the Karbi People's Liberation Tiger (KPLT) formed in 2011 — disbanded their organizations in a simple ceremony held at its designated camp at Kolonga, 6 kms away from Dongkamukam, West Karbi Anglong on Sunday.

The group was one among the 6 armed organizations who signed a peace accord with Centre, State and the outfit, which have a total of 380 cadres. Earlier, lighting the candle and a minute silent was observed for the martyrs by chairman of the Organisation Donri Kramsa followed by lowering of the flag and formally declaring disbanded. The programme was attended by the self-styled 'C in C' of the outfit, Atur Hanse, rank and file and about a dogen of civilians.
