Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai to represent Northeast in National Theatre Competition

MANGALDAI: A seven-member drama team of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai has left for New Delhi to represent the State in the national-level ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ theatre competition. It is the only team from the north-eastern region to take part in the national-level competition. Earlier, the team had participated in the cluster-level ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ theatre competition and secured the first position. The team’s excellent performance in the regional-level competition has paved the way for its participation in the national-level competition. The participating students are Hiyarika Kalita, Mriganka Saharia, Yubaraj Mahanta, Lajijul Hoque, Nasik Ahmed, Rajashree Sarma and Upasana Goswami.

Music teacher of K V Mangaldai, Manasi Devi, who was the winner of the regional-level music competition, has also qualified for participation in the national-level music competition which will also witness the participation of Kendriya Vidyalayas of 25 regions of the country. She has accompanied the team as the in-charge.
